On motion of Mr. White, the said com~munication was referred to the Special Street Ca~ <br />Committee, aud by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes-- Esleeok, Hutchins, Oaet, Smith, White, <br /> Nays-- Brooks, 1o <br /> <br /> A petition f~om Joseph M. Denny and 662 other employees of the Seaboard Air Line Railway <br />Shops was read, requesting the Council not to make any concessions to the Virginia Railway & <br />Power Company-in regard to re-routing cars, or eliminating or re-routinE jitmney$, until the <br />Virginia Railway & Power Company twill give the striking employees mn amiable settlement and <br />restore them to their former positions. <br /> On motion, the petition was referred to the Special ~treet Car Committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. White, ~he City Manager's attention was called to condition of the horse <br />trough a~ the corner of High & Effingham streets. <br /> <br />On motion, <br /> <br />adj our ne d. <br /> <br /> <br />
