We have examined this report and it is recommended that same be filed. Recommendation of the Manager that a special appropriation of $5~5.35 be allowed ~o pay for pistols, ca~t~.dges, badges and whistles which he had to purchase in connection with the employment of substitute policemen rendered necessary by the strike of the Va. Ry. & Power We report that there is an appropriation in the Budget to cover this amount. It is recommended that a special appropriation of $1~0. be allowed for this purpose.
