Third St. is a shor~ street extending from <br />N~val Place to Wythe St. It is bounded on the east'side by the Nav~ Yard wall between-Naval <br />Place and Linco~u St. It is.already paved between Fayette and Henry S~s. The~e~ls a Navy <br />Yard gmte on Fayette St.~ which is not much~AS~do First St. to the east of it and Foumth St. <br />to the west of it ams paved. The cost of the paving would be $9,180.00. <br /> "B.- ~A" St., between Cooke and Butler ~ts. Within th~s~ limits, there are only a few <br />houses fronting on "A" St. The p~rtion of "A" street placed on t~e 9rigi_ns.l list term~naSed . <br />at two paved ~treets. The proposed extension would terminate on Butler St., aa unpaved s~ree~. <br />The cost would be about $1,000.00. <br /> <br /> "C., Esphmltic wearin~ surface on Queen St.. between Crawford and Effiuh~ Sts.. This <br />a worthy p~ojeot and the cost ~ould be $6~)0.00. <br /> <br /> "D~- Linden Ave.. from Nav~l Ave. to Bay S~. Linden Ave. is a highly improved street amd <br />has many well~b~ilt and expensive dwellings. The cosm of paving it would be about $10,0OO. <br />The project seems to be as meritorious as many others in Park View. <br /> <br /> "I see no objection to adding these several projects to the general list approved by the <br />Council; the improvements to ~e made when funds are available. For reasons already stated, <br />however, I.am of the opinion "that additional paving, except for main arteries of traffic, <br />should be deferred until the sewerage systems in the Sixth and Seventh Wa~ds are completed." <br /> <br /> Then ~he Manager made a verba~t recommendation thmt these streets' be added to ihs Ps,zing <br />Program. <br /> O~ auction of M~.
