"Forwarding petition from certain rezidents of First and Crawford ets. asking: let~ <br />fbr trollibus service on Crawford and First ets., 2nd, daily sweeping of streets in the vicini <br />ty of the main. gate of the Navy Yard; 3rd, more frequent collection of trash and garbage in the <br />neighborhood; ~h, general improvement in the appearance of the thoroughfare from the S. A. L. <br />R.R. to the main gate." <br /> <br /> In this connection, a communication was read from Admiral Phillip Andrews, Commandant <br />of the Navy Yard, endorsing the establishment of a trollibus line from the ferry to the main <br />~tte of the N&W Yard via First s~reet, thence to the Fourth St. gate vim Lincoln and Fourth <br /> rests; this l~ne to return by the same ~oute to the ferry. Also'advocating that First street <br />be kept clea~er, and that the paving of C~awfordand First streets be repaired or improved. <br /> <br /> On motion of ~Lv. White, the privilege of the floor was granted to any citizen present <br />who might wish to speak on the muhject. Mr. B. E.
