<br /> 5. Every autO-bus for the operation of which consent shall have been given as herein-
<br />ab6ve~ provided shall bear prominently displayed upon it the number of such consent, such num-
<br />ber to be bhtained f~cm the ~portatiQn Supervisor, and shall likewise bear prominently
<br />~isplayed upon it the route for ~hioh consent has been g~anted, together with the fa~e to be
<br />charged in all cases where such fare exceeds five cents.
<br /> 6. It shall be unlawful to d~ive any autO-bus when any passenger is standing upon the
<br />running board, fender, wind-guard or back thereof, or while amy passenger is riding in said
<br />auto-bus outside the body thereof or in such a manner as to obstruct the d~iver'e view or
<br />his control of t.he vehicle, or with a greater number of passengers than ~the_.nu_mb.e_~ ~s~t~a_t. ed~_in
<br />such application, to drive recklessly or to d~ive rapidly to pass any auto mus, ~OAA~y
<br /> Or vehicle in order to obtain any prospective passengers, or to race with any other vehicle.
<br /> ~. No fare shall be col~ie~ted on any such auto-bus by the driver thereof while such
<br /> auto-bus is in motion.
<br /> Every ~person owaing and operatin~an auto-bus as defined herein, shall on or before
<br /> the temth day of each calenda~ month file with the City ~A~reasurer a statemen~ verified by
<br /> oath showiz~ the gross receipts from' the business of said auto-bus o~_ busses du~.ing~t~he
<br /> ? .......... ~a"" at the same time pay to the City Treasurer fxve
<br /> per centum of such g~ess receipts as a monthly franchise tax for revemue for the use of the
<br /> oi ry.
<br /> 8. Upon the monthly report of g~oss receipts and the payment of five peroe~t (5~)
<br /> City Treamarer shall issue to the person mo p~ying a receipt showimg the date and amoumt
<br /> of payment, and f~om~an~afte~ the~llth day of e~very calenda~ month no' such auto-bus shall
<br /> be operated u~less the operator thereof shall have in his possession such receipt for the
<br /> preceding calendar mo~th and shall display the same to an~ inspecto~ or to any police officer
<br /> of the City of Portsmouth upon request. Between the let and the llth d~ys of each month,
<br /> every such operator shall have in his possessiom, as above provided, either the receipt for
<br /> the preceding ~a~e~da~ month or for the month preceding such preceding calendar month.
<br /> ~. All auto-busses shall operate om each trip over the streets for which consent has
<br /> been granted and over the 'full length of such streets between the temi~,i of such route as
<br /> set forth in the consent as ~anted.
<br /> 10.. Every dnly registered d~iver of each a~to-bus in the City of Portsmouth, for which
<br /> comsent to operate has beem issued by the T~mmsportation ~upervis0r shall wear conspicuously
<br /> displayed on the outside front of~ his co.~at 'or other outer-gmrment, om~the right hamd side,
<br /> at all times, when in charge of such autO-bus, or in the discha~ge~?f his~ duties as such driver
<br /> thereof, am identificatiom badge furnished by the City of Portsmouth, am~ in default thereof
<br /> shall i~z~ediately forfeit said badge to the Transportation Supervisor. ~
<br /> Ail persons to whom a be_dEe has been issued by the~ Tra~portation Supervisor shall
<br /> deposit the sum of $~.05 .with the T~amsportati~ Superviso~as ~e~urity for the return to
<br /> the City of Portsmouth of ~aid badg$ either on demand by the City or voluntarily.
<br /> 11. Amy peSson to whom consemt ha~ bees g~anted by the Tramsportation ~mpervisor .fo~ the
<br /> purpose of operating an auto bum Over the streets of the City'ofI P0=tsmouth, shall regxsme~
<br /> with the T~a~sportation Supervisor each and-every driver before permitting him to operate
<br /> the said auto-bus.

<br /> tionl2. Ail persoms to whom consent has been granted to operate a~ auto-bus by the T~ansporta-
<br /> Supervi~s~r, shall on ~onday of each week file with the Tramsportation Supervisor, a state
<br /> meat in book, furnished by said Transportation Supervisor, showing 'the number of trips made daily
<br /> amd the amount o~ fa~e collected on each trip, together with the signature o~f the d~iver, mak-
<br /> i~msaid trip~ and Collecting s~d fa~es, Oou~tersigmed by the owner of saia auto-~bus.

<br /> Amy pemson operating an auto-bus refusimg to s_iga said s~atement shall be refused.

<br /> 13'. Amy driver of an auto-bus operating in the City of Portsmouth, who shall m~oke or
<br />strike matches while operating said auto-bus over the streets of the City of Portsmouth shall
<br />immediately forf~ei~ his right to operate.

<br /> 1~. The City Manager or amy employee of the Tr~m.sportation Supervisor designated by him
