October 30, 1922 <br /> <br />Fifth Ave., <br /> <br />from Glasgow St~ to a point 80 ft. north ~f Holladay Bt. <br /> <br />Fourth Ave., from Glasgow St. to a point ~0 ft. north of Hollad~y St. <br />North St., from Sixth Ave. to Ninth ~ve. <br />North St., east of ~ourth Ave. <br />Tenth Ave., north of North St. <br />Eleventh Ave., north of ~orth St. <br />Ninth St., from Key Road to Edwards Et. <br /> <br /> This Bill require a total of ~,310 feet of curbing and guttering at an estimated <br />cost of $3,300.00, allowing for supervision. A transfer of this amount from the sewerage fund <br />is recommended. Unanimous consent of the Council to consider this item is asked ton!~g~, in <br />order thmt the contractor m~y complete the work in the Scottsville neighborhood, before he <br />moves his plant. If the Council prefers, I can proceed with the work with the understanding <br />that if the savings on other work are sufficient, no transfer will be necessary, but that if <br />the savings should be insuf£icient, the necessary amount of additional funds will be trans- <br />ferred from the sewerage allotment to the work for curbing and guttering. I regard this ad- <br />ditional work as ess~ntial." <br /> <br /> Mr. Brooks moved that the City Eanager be authorized to put <br />down, out of the appropriation fo~ Curbs & Gutters, if the same is <br />not sufficient, additional appropriation to be made when needed. <br /> The motion was ~dopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />the s~ate~ curbs and gutters <br />~ufficient; if the same is <br /> <br /> Ayes-- Brooks, Esleeok, Hutohins, Oast, Stewart, 5. <br /> <br /> 2nd. "Enolosing circular letter from the Chamber of commerce of Kansas City, Mo., relative <br />to the eighth annual co~entio~ of the City '~Managers' Association, which will be held in <br />Kansas City, November l~th to 16%h. <br /> Instructions of the Council relative ~o this Convention are requested." <br /> <br />Mr. Esleeok moved that the Oity Manager be authorized to attend said Convention. <br /> The motion was lost by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes-- Esleeok, Stewart, <br />Nays-- Brooks, Hutohins, Oamt, 3. <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned, <br /> <br /> <br />
