<br />dred dollars for a map of the 0ity, taking in Pig Point on the north and Gilmerton on the south,

<br />to the City ~nager and Finance Committee.

<br /> A bill of P. C. Hutchins, State Game Narden, to amount of $50.00, for. services rendered
<br />in destroying 20 tagless dogs ~ $2.50 each, was referred to the Finance Committee.

<br /> An application was read from the Central Shoe Store, Inc., that the City defray oneLhalf_
<br />the expense of putting down a new concrete sidewalk in front of said store 301-305 High St.,
<br />and same was referred to the Finance Committee and City Manager.
<br />
<br /> A request was read from the Finance Committee of She School Board for the fotiowi~g
<br />ditional appropriations: $1,000.00 to cover necessary extras, approved by the Architect, not
<br />included in the original contracts for the Wood~ow Wilson High School additionand the Jef-
<br />ferson S~. School Addition; $930.O0 for additional equipment for the Woodrow Wilson High
<br />Bohool m~de necessary by the growth of the commercial department; $651.82, out of the Washington
<br />Wa~d funds, for necessary extram for the new Plnners Point colored school.
<br /> On motiDn, the request was referred to the Finance Committee.

<br />Operate, for the Term and Upon the Conditions Hereinafter Stated, a Street Rmilway System,
<br />Upon Ceztain Highways and Public Places of the City o~f Portsmouth, and to Amend in the Parti-
<br />culars Hereinafter Specified ~he Existing Franchises of Virginia Railway and Power Company in
<br />the Event the s~id Company is the successful bidder for th~s Franchise and the S~me is Granted
