<br />only ~50 feet of serviceable hose for seven pieces of apparatus, whereas the tots~iL amount
<br />should be 15,000 feet. ~ In other wo~ds, the Department is 5150 feet short, so fmr as hose is
<br />concerned. The estimated cost of this hose is $7,110,00. The old hose on hand is limble to
<br />give way and is giving way dmily and I feel that the risk is too gremt to continue our depend-
<br />ence on it. i therefore recommend an mppropriation of $?,110.00~to pUrchase 5150 feet of new
<br />hose,"
