M,, to consider the following ordinances plmced-on their first <br />readings April 10th: <br /> <br /> An Ordinance Imposing a License Tax for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, for the Yea~ <br />Beginning May 1st, 1923. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance for Imposing and Collecting Taxes-on Real Estate, Tangible Personal Property, <br />Intangible Personal Property, a~d Banks Within the Limits of the City o~ Portsmouth, Virginia~ <br />for the Purpose of Raising Revenue for the Support of the Government and the Public Free Schools <br />and to PAY Interest and Sinking Fund on the Public Debt, for the Year Beginning February 1st, <br />1923. <br /> Very t~ly yours, <br /> <br />R.
