<br /> An Ordinance Imposing a License Tax for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, for the Yea~
<br />Beginning May 1st, 1923.
<br />
<br /> An Ordinance for Imposing and Collecting Taxes-on Real Estate, Tangible Personal Property,
<br />Intangible Personal Property, a~d Banks Within the Limits of the City o~ Portsmouth, Virginia~
<br />for the Purpose of Raising Revenue for the Support of the Government and the Public Free Schools
<br />and to PAY Interest and Sinking Fund on the Public Debt, for the Year Beginning February 1st,
<br />1923.

<br />shall be allowed on the streets of the City of Portsmouth.'

<br />Sectl*n 63- Add to title the words ecarnlvals and bazaars.'

<br /> Add to end of Section 63- 'Any carnival or bazaar operated by owners exclusively or by
<br />owners on a profit sharing base with any individual, firm or corporation or benevolent, relig-
<br />ious or chmritable association- $1,000.00, provided, however, this shall not apply to any ~
