<br /> On motion of Er. Brooks, the privilege of the floor was granted to any citizens who
<br />might be interested in this matter, but no one responded.

<br /> Mr. White moved thmt the City Man,get be instructed to make a reasonable offer for the
<br />p~ohmse of the above ~med site and if the offer is not acceptable to enter into condemnation
<br />proceedings for acquiring same.

<br /> Mr. Brooks stated that he had bid in at public auction the Cain Property at the corner
<br />of County and Washington streets for $5175.00 and offered to transfer his bid to the City and
<br />have the property~deeded direct to the City.
<br /> Mr. White moved tha$ the offer of ~r. Brooks be accepted and that the City Eauager be
<br />instructed to have the proper transfer of the property m~de direct to the Cit~ and that the
<br />appropriation of $~175.00 be referred to the Finance Committee.
