<br /> At a Regular Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday,
<br />May 23, 1995, there were present:

<br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard
<br />D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, Csaneron C.
<br />Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton~ City Manager,
<br />George M. Willson, Acting City Attorney.
<br />
<br /> Reverend Nelson F. Fields, First Pentecostal Holiness
<br />Church, opened the meeting with prayer which was followed by the
<br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Webb called the meeting to order and welcomed all in
<br />attendance.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to
<br />approve the minutes of a Called Meeting on May 8, 1995; a
<br />Regular Meeting on May 8, 1995; a Called Meeting on May 9, 1995;
<br />and a Regular Meeting on May 9, 1995, and was adopted by
<br />unanimous vote.

<br />95-250 - Proclamation presented to Roger Reinhold, President,
<br />Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce for Business ApPreciation Week
<br />in Portsmouth.

<br />95-251 - Non-Agenda Speakers
<br />
<br />1. Laurie Jones, 3301 Armistead Drive, spoke on the Galaxy
<br />project.
<br />
<br />2. Robert Williams, 1410 Holt Drive, requested funding for
<br />Cavalier Manor Athletic fields.
<br />
<br />3. Helen Person, 1314 Green Street, spoke on lead in Washington
<br />Park.
