<br />it is very~desirable to keep ou~v work under way, as it is~goi~g to be a tedious job at best.
<br />It wilt be possible to continue the 36 in. suction line f~om Green St. and Race Ave. to its
<br />point of sub-division at ~ace and Pmachtree Sts. for about $65,000,00. I am suggesting that
<br />i be authorized to advertise for this~ contract with the understanding that the money will be
<br />forthcoming. ~

<br /> The following ordinance, which had been placed on its first reading October llth, was
<br />~aken up cud read:
<br /> An 0rdin~nce Amending Section I B of An Ordinance Entitled, "An 0rdin~nce
<br />in Connection with Buildings of a Public Character~ Such as Theatres, Hotels, Etc."

<br />On motion of Er, Brooks, ~he ordinance was referred back to the City ~n~ger for revision.

<br /> The following matter which had be~n referred back to the Council October llth by ~he
<br />Fir~nce Committee, without recommendation, and~hich the Council at its meeting October llth
<br />deferred action until the City Eanager could be present, was read:
<br />
<br /> "Reco~nendation of the Eanager that $t2,500.00 be transferred from ~he 8th ~ard and $12,500.
<br />from the Ninth Ward, to St. Improvement Fund, to pay the cost of the concrete pavemen~ on H%gh
<br />St. west of the Belt Line."

<br /> On motion of Er. White, the privilege of the floor was granted to any one presen~ who
<br />may be interested in this matter.

<br /> ~r. ghas. F. Harper, President of the Eighth Ward Civic League, spoke and requested that
<br />action on same be deferred until a delegation could be present from his League.
<br />
<br /> Then ~r. Brooks moved that a special meeting of Council be called for Tuesday, October
<br />30th, a~ 8 P. E~, and tP~t this matter be mmde the special order of business for that meeting
<br />a~d ~hat said meeting take up any ozher business which may properly come before it.
