3a2 <br /> <br />July 22, 1924. <br /> <br /> The following ordinance, which had been placed on its first readir~ Jmly 8th, was taken <br />up and read: <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE POSTING OF HAND BILLS OR OTHER ADVERTISINGLITERATURE <br />ON POLES OR IN VEHICLES AND FORBIDDING THE INDEFINITE PARRINg, OF VEHiCLE~ FOR ADVERTISING <br />PU~OSES ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF PORTSEOUTH~ <br /> ~M. 0ast moved that Section I be amended to read as follows: ~First, that it shall be <br />unlawful to post handbills or other advertising literat~e on any tree, t~lephone, ~elegre~h, <br />power or lighting ~ole~- in the City of Portsmouth." <br /> The motzon was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Oast moved that Sectiofl 2 be amended to read as follows: ~Se¢ond, it shall be ~ulaw- <br />ful to place muy hand bills in or to affix any tag cz ha~ud bill or any advertising matter to <br /> ~y of Portsmouth without the consent of the owner.~ <br />any automobile or other vehicl~ in the <br /> The motion was aaopted. <br /> <br /> ~.
