<br /> ~ Petition of W. J. Joyne~ policeman, that ~e 0ity pay bills of Dr. Fey Vanm to amount
<br />of $25.OO, and Dr. Clayton W. Eley to ~n~t of $1~.OO, for surgical treatment when he was
<br />cidently shot through the right foot.
<br /> It is recommended that the above petition be referred to ~he Oity Manager, and that
<br />the Oity Namager be instructed to notify the heade of all Del~artmente that the Physician to
<br />the Poor will attend accidents in their Depsmtments, the heads of Departments to notify the
<br />men under them of this fact, and that the Oity will not be responsible for any doctors' bills
<br />incurred unless contracted within twenty-four hours after the accident occurred.

<br /> A~d it is further recommended ~aa~ the Treasurer be authorized to pay, out of funds
<br />om hand fr~m collection of Dog Taxes, ~lll c~ S. T. Mon~ague, Jr., State Game Warden, to
<br />amount o~ $205.00, for. services rendered in destroying~ tagless dogs $ $2.50 e~ch.

<br /> Mm. Smith moved that the report be adopted. The motion was adopted, and by the follow-

<br /> Then Mr. Brooks moved to reconsider the item with reference to petition of W. J. Joy,er,
<br />policeman. The motion was adopted.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Brooks, the privilege of the floor was granted to the 0hief cf Police,
<br />who spoke in reference to the petition.
<br />
<br /> N~.Brooks me,ed the adoption of the following:. "that the petitio~ be referred ~o the
<br />Oity Nsm~agor, and that the 0ityMauager be instructed to notify the heads o~ all Departments
<br />that ~ ~s~u to the Poe= will attend accidents in their Departments, the heads of De-
<br />partments to notify men under them of this fact. In case of accidents, the Physici~u to the
<br />Poor .shall be called and if he can not be located, another physician m~y be called to ao~ only
