<br />Industrial Commission of this community

<br /> WHEREAS this Commission is an organization composed Of l~oth Norfolk and Portsmouth men,
<br />devoted solely to the work of ~ndustrial development of the Norfolk-Portsmouth
<br /> WHEREAS~ Portsmmuth will Benefit greatly By the industrial development produced By the
<br />work of the Industrial Commission.

<br /> THEREFORE WE, the Boamd of Directors and Officers of the Portsmouth Chamber of.Commerce,
<br />do hereby recommend to the City Council of Portsmouth, Virginia, that it appropriate, to the
<br />limit of its ability, a sum of money to Be devoted to the support of this Industrial Commission.

<br />Oar Line. The hosting on.rte petition is set for October 2~th, at 10 o'clock, There are two
<br />things to Be considered, (1-)whether the City will oppose the discontinua~oe of the service,
<br />and {~) if the ~ervioe is dicontinued whether we should asl~th~t the tracks Be removed from
<br />
<br />the Street.
