<br /> Oity Mans~r forwards plan and estimate from the Oity Engineer showing proposed c~ges
<br />in storm drains at High and Washington streets and at the north end of Washington St., which
<br />it is believed will largely relieve the flood conditions at WasHington and High Sts., the es,
<br />timated cost being $3,500.00. The Manager recommends that this work be now authorized a~d
<br />that provision be m~__de for~ it in the sewer bond issue for 1925.
<br /> It is recommended that the Manager be authorized to spend $3,500.00 for this work,
<br />out of New Sewerage Fund.

<br /> Bill of Jno. W. Napper and Crocker & 0rocker, to amount of $250.00, as City's half of
<br />cost for opinion as to contract between the United States of America and 0ity of Portsmouth
<br />and Oounty of Norfolk, as to the operation of the Norfolk County Ferries, with particular re-
<br />ference to the question of going conoerm value in arriving at the amount due by the City and
<br />Oou~ty to the Government.
<br /> Xt is recommended that an appropriation of $250.00 be allowed to pay said bill.
<br />
<br /> And it is ~fmrther recommended that the Treasurer be authorized to pay, out of funds
<br />on hand from collection of Dog Taxes, bill of $. T. Montague, Jr., ~o amount of $55.00~ for
<br />services rendered in destroying 22 tagless dogs $ $2.50 each.
