Clemons, Bernard Griffin, Sr., *James C. Hawks, J~mes T. Martin, Cameron C. ~s, *P. Ward Robi~ett, Jr., ~. T_~.othy Little, Deputy City Lager, George M. W~llson, Acting C~ty Attorney. 95-271 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 1995, for the of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Session. By order of the Mayor." 95-272 The following item was discussed in the Public Session: Minority Hiring/promotion Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go int~ Session pursuant to provisions of Section ~.1-344 of of Virginia for the following: (1) Consultation with legal counsel and briefing by staff legal matters involving the acquisition of real and two matters of actual litigation (Sayegh vs City vs Trustees of Mt. Nebo Church), as permitted under (A) (7); and (2) Consideration of personnel matters involving a City uil appointee and appointments by City Council to Boards and issions, as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant ·ction 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to pest of the Council me~er's knowledge during the y preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Informatio~ and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were ], discussed or considered in the meeting by the City ~il.
