<br />our factory at Port Norfolk.

<br /> When our factory was rebuilt five yea~s ago we could n~ get a right of way from
<br />W. G. Maupi~; therefore,_we wer~ forced to build our factory on a curve which has caused us

<br />there are three.tracks crossing 0hatauqua Ave. tn making this change there will still be
<br />three tracks crossi~ 0hatauqu~Ave., bul one of our tracks will be forty or fifty feet north
<br />of its present location. ~e are having the foundations laid for our extension of our mill
<br />building at present, and are also grading out on our property for this ex~usion.

<br /> ~We would certainlymappreciate your prompt actio~ as it is necessary for us to
<br />relocate this side track before we can go a~y l~rther with cur buildings~or to cha~ge our 8"
<br />~ter pipe lines which feed the automatic sprinkler in our factory. We are trying to get
<br />this work completed before cold wwather. We have most of the materials on hand te go ahead
<br />with the work.

<br />~ovember the ~leventh. u~der the m~ni~o ~ of the year will be held on Armistice Day,
<br /> .... ~ ~ ~ the Portsmouth Post ~37 of the American Legion.
<br />We have the assurance %hat approximately two thousand troops, sailors and marines will be in
<br />the line of parade, which will start at 9:30 a. m. ~aud.cover-the major portion of the City.
<br />After the p~.v~ we will hold a patriotic celebration at the Wythe Street and present the City
<br />with a captured Germau wam trophy. This is only a portion of the program of the Day.
<br />
<br /> It is respectffully requested that a City holiday be declared on this day, which
<br />is so important to most Americans, so that the City as a ~whole may enter into the true spirit
<br />thereof.
