<br /> The following com~munioations were read from the Oity .Manager:
<br /> let. "The Finance Committee
<br /> some weeks ago authorized me informally to have electric motor and switch board work at the
<br /> market repaired at an estimated cost of about $500~00. Bids were asked for this work and only
<br /> one received which amounted to $375.00. As this was reasonable and in my opinion and that of
<br /> the Electrical Inspector, reliable, the contract has been awarded for this.
<br /> A special appropriation of $3?5.00 is requested to cover it."
<br /> On motion, the reade.st was referred to Finance Oo~mittee.
<br /> 2nd. "Funds for the repair of csms in the Department of Public Welfare are entirely ex-
<br /> hausted.
<br /> A special appropriation of $50.00 is r~quested to cover repairs for the remainder of the
<br /> year."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Stewart (J.R.), ~he 01erk was instructed to forward members of the

<br /> 5th. ~During the absence of Mm. W. F. Lawrence our Oity Bacteriologist on leave, his duties
<br />were performed by Dr. Thcs. E. Cast.. In past years, it hms been possible to pay fo~ these
<br />extra services cut of the appropriatmon for Drugs and 0hemicals b~t this appropriatmon is so
<br />low this year it would be impossible to do it.

<br />A special appropriation of $35.00 for the purpose is recommended."
