I88 July 10~ 1995 Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-95-14 be denied, and was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Hawks, Pitts, Robinett, Webb Nays: Clemons, Griffin Abstained: Martin (represents applicant) (b) Z-95-13 CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Application by Development Options, Inc. to rezone 5601 High Street from Commercial C-2-K Conditional, Office Residential OR-75-K Conditional, Residential RM-75-K Conditional to Commercial C-2-K Conditional. Dr. Sam Lamm, representing the Hampton Road Chamber of Commerce, spoke in support of the application. Albert J. Resolute, III, 521 Middle Street, spoke in support of the application. Fox Johnston, Jr., One Park Place, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37421, provided application. 6148 Lee Highway, information on the Micheal Brescia, representing Hannaford Brothers, provided information on the application. Mark Curry, 6006 Churchland Boulevard, provided information on the application. Kathryn Moore, 6006 Churchland Boulevard, provided landscape information on the application. Raymond Turner, 526 Bunche Court, spoke in support of the application. Arnold Leon, P. O. Box 1475, spoke in opposition to the application. Victoria Beecher, 5230 Sweetbriar Circle, spoke in opposition to the application. Michael Blachman, 3008 Oakley Hall Road, spoke in opposition to the application. Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, to concur with recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-95-13 be apprOved. Substitute motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to defer consideration of Z-95-13 until the Public Hearing meeting of September 11, 1995, and was defeated by a vote of 2-5 (Cleans, Griffin, Hawks, Pitts, Webb). Original motion was adopted by a vOte of 5-2 (Martin, Robinett)
