Jervey, City Portsmouth, V~ Deafc Sir:- ReL Sidewalk- High and Washi~tou Streets Inasmuch as the 6ity has agreed to raise the sidewalk at the North-West corner of High and Washington Streets, adjacent to my property, in order to relieve the drainage trouble that has always existed there, the thought occurred to me that a suggestion to re-pave the sidewalk with cement instead of using the old brick would be in order and perhaps meet ~ith the City's approval. This, i believe, would be the sensible and most economical thing to do. If~is necessary for t~e co'&ucil to a~t on this m~t~e~ I would appreciate the favor if you would present same to them at this evenings meeting.
