4th. "I am inclosing herewith blue print showing cert~inadditional land which it is
advisable to purchase in order to secure further control of the watershed or-Lake Eilby. This
land is owned by Ool. E. E. Holland and is sixteen acres in extent. It extends along the lake
for more than one mile. I have viewed it in person and believe ~t is very important that
the Oity so,mire it, particularly as the owner has an offer Zrom qolored people to purchase
it for residential'~urposes. The price asked for the laud~is $1,600.00 or $t00.00 per
which may be considered high for farm land, but cons~dering its value to the Oity, the price
is reasO~ble.

-I therefore recommend that the purchase of this land be authorized and that payment
therefor be made from Water Dept. funds.,

On mo~ion, the recommendation was referred to Finance Oommittee.
to installation oi storm dr~im under Atlantic Coast Line Railway at Florida Ave. The railroad
right of way s~pparently precedes the platting of Florida Ave. as a Oity street a~d a formal
agreement m~y therefore be properly demamded by the Railroad. It is suggested that the Oily
Attorney ~dd ~o the~ ¢ontra¢~ a clause to the effect that, 'The Oity in signing this contract
does not relinquish any rights which it may have. in Floridm Ave.'

With this amendment, it is recommended that the resolution be passedwhich a~thorizes
the Mayor to enter into the sgreemsnt with the Atlantl~ Ooast Line Railway relative to instal-
