Olaud, Assessor, to the 0ity Manager, stating that he is ready <br />to proceed with the maki~%g of card system, and wishing to inform the Oouncil that just as soon <br />as necessary arrangements are made, he will begin the work. <br /> <br />Referred January 12th <br /> <br /> Bills ~gainst the State of W. T. Claud to amount of $8~6.O0, and O. N. Markham to amount <br />of $831.00, assessors of the City cf Portsmouth, re,ring ~pproval by the 0ounoil. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brooks moved to allow $1, O00.00 balance due each Assessor, npon the return to the <br />Oi%y of all block sheets, cards, maps, recgrds, and a~y other papers~etained by each or both <br />of them or any of their Olerks. <br /> The motion was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes--.
