<br />M~tthews is License Inspector a~d Market Superintendent and also performs the duties of.
<br />Sealer of Weights and Measures, and upon investigation, I find that some of his imports~ut
<br />~ork~ ~which meatus much to.the citizens at large, is being neglected now on account of the
<br />difficulties at the market.
<br />
<br /> As agreed upon by the Finance Committee, I respectil~lly recommend that $96.00, six-
<br />teen days at $~.00 per day, be ~opropriated to cover pay of man temporarily employed in the
<br />absence of Hr. Grant while on vacation. This will take care of the situation ?matil Nov. 1st
<br />and the $150.00 recommended above will cover the operation of the plant for November and
<br />December.

<br /> Further recommendations relative to the operation of the plant will be made in the
<br />new budgeS."
<br />
<br /> Mr. White moved that recommendation of the Ms~uager be referred to Finance .Oommittee.
<br /> M~. Nayo moved as a substituted, that the recommendation be concurred in.

<br /> A communication from J. Shirley NoDe, State Game Harden, as to cost of the dog pound des-
