The followi~g eQmmr~ufcations were ~read from the 0ity Manager:
-- · ,Z~ the matter referred to
me at the last Council meeting, look~ to the advisability of est~ot~shimg a l~ger golf
~sey openi~ the golf e~se on S~y ~rni~s, c~gi~ g=een fees on $~y as well as
other ~y~ of the week, and inc~easi~-th$ ~een fees by 50~, I beg to ~e ~he followl~ =e-
co~endations:

At this time, I do not th~nk it advisable to undertake to make a larger golf ccurse~ There
is not sufficient spape to enlarge the present course properly a~d the purchase of additional
land at this time ur~cler the most favorable price amd terms for financing it would only be the
begir~uing, as it would cost a great de~l to develop it and in the City's present fi~ncial con-
dition, I do not think the 0ity should Eo into the propositiom at this t-ime.

In regard to opening the golf course on Sunday mornings amd charging them green fees on
Smn~ay, I recommend that it remai~ as i~ is fo~ the present, i feel that the SUnday golf
has been gone into thoromghly in the pamt amd that the matter as h~ndled by General Jervey has
proved satisfactory 2o far.

~make the following recommendation in regard to change in fe~s during the week: .that a
minimum of 30 'cts. instead of 20 cts. now cha.~ged be made for 18 holes or more and ~hat the
Charge fo~ permits be increased from 50~ ets. to $1.00 per yea~. ! find %hat practically all the
~ioipal golf courses charge from 30 t~ 50 c~s. for ~een fees and in view of the cost of~ keep-
ing the liz~ks in proper condition so that ~hey may be a o~edit to the~ 0ity, I feel that the
charge specified in my recommendation i~ a mini~ram charge and that it should go into effect
January lst."

In this connection, Mr. White moved that the following ordinance be placed on firs~ read-

A~0rdinance to Amend andRe,ordai~ "Au Ordinance Providing for the Eaintena~ce, 0are and
