10, 1~2~ 5th. "I am enclosing herewith application of Mr. H. L. Alexander to erect a tw~ story brick garage on his property at the south-east corner of Court St. and the Seaboard Air' Line Railroad. Since there are mamerous people doing this work from out of town places who are not paying taxes to the City, I think they should pay fees for the servioe rendered_by the inspectors-.. Gain for permission to use building at 933 High St. for The purpose o~ conducting a .dry cleaning and dyeing establishment and accordimg to ordinance, it is necessary for the Council to approve the site. The piping for. the underground work is to be dsne under the supervision of the Fire Inspector, said location being within the business district. Though my idea was purely for the wel- fare and good of the members cf the Police and Fire Departments, it seems to have been entirely msiunderstood' by them. ! therefore think it inadvie~.ble to put the plan into effect at this time.
