<br /> (1) The Board of Sinking Fund Commissioners are hereby requested to pay on Ju~e 30th, 1~27,
<br />all the outstaudingBonds of the Portsmouth and Su~o~k Water Company falling due on ~uly 1st,
<br />l~Yy~O-~ch were assumed by +~e City of Portsmouth in the purchase of ~he Water Works System,. .
<br />a~d~ich have not been exchanged for Portsmouth Water Bonds, the amount of which will be stamea
<br />By the Farmers Loan & Trust Company on June 2~h, 1927.

<br /> ~? The Finance Oommittee of the City 0ouncil is hereby authorized and directed to make
<br />sale the highest bidder of all the Portsmouth Water BOnds held in escrow by the Farmers
<br />Loan/md Trust Company of New York, New York, for the purpose of guaranteeing the bonds so paid
<br />by the Board of Si~king Fund Commissioners. Said sale shall be made as soon as practicable on
<br />or after July 1, 1927, and after such notice as the Fi~uce Committee shall deem advisable. The
<br />proceeds from the sale of said bonds shall be used ~o re-imburse the Board of Sinki~ Fund Com-
<br />missioners for ~he money adv~[uced by them, with interest thereon at ~% per ~rmun for the purpose
<br />of paying the Portsmouth and Suffolk Water 0ompany Bonds, and any sum, plus shall be paid over
<br />to the account of the portsmouth Water Department.
<br />
<br /> (3) Board of Sinkimg Fund Commissioners shall and they are hereby permitted to retain
<br />a lien Portsmouth Water Bonds held in escrow at the Farmers L~an and Trast Compan~'for
<br /> f protecting the funds advanced by it.
<br />
<br /> (4) The Farmers Loan and Tr~st Company is hereby directed not to exchange any bonds of
<br />the Portsmouth and Suffolk Water Oompany for bonds of the City of Portsmouth on or after July
<br />1St,
<br />
<br /> M,r. N~yo moved that ~he resolution be amended by adding the following thereto: ,The
<br />Cit~ Clerk is hereby instructed to notify the Farmers Loan a-4 Trust Oompany of the fourth para-
<br />graph of this resolution." The amendment was adopted.
