Timothy Oksman, City AttDrney. he] Cra put held on Monday, Bernard Ronald 95-361 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 ~ord Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 1995, for the )se of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Exe ative Session. 95- Ses iht of By order of the Mayor." 52 - The following item was discussed in the Public Work · C. Norcom High School Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 ~e Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion of appointments to boards and commissions, as permitted under Subsection (A)(1); and act =nd to (2) Consultation with legal counsel concerning a matter of · 1 litigation (City vs Melmik Corporation), as permitted Subsection {A) (7). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, pursuant ~ction 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to best of the Council men,her's k~owledge during the preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matuers lawfully exempted from meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were discussed or considered in the meeting by the City The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion meeting adjourned· Mayor Debra Y. White Deputy Clerk James T. Martin was absent. Cameron C. Pitts was absent.
