<br /> Mayor S. Heth Tyler~ of Norfolk, being present, made a very exhaustive explanation of
<br />the so-o~l!ed "Tyler Port Authority Bill."
<br />
<br /> Then the body went into a general discussion and revision of the Tyler bill.
<br />

<br /> "ABill tc Create "The Norfolk-Portsmouth-Norfolk Comnty Bridge Authority,~ and to de-
<br />fine the powers amd duties of smch authority.
<br />
<br />Be it enacted by the Genersl Assembly of Virginia that:
<br />
<br /> There is hereby created The Norfolk-Portsmouth-Norfolk County Bridge Authority (for brevity
<br />hereinafter referred to as Bridge Authority), which shall be a body corporate and politic, and
<br />assuch may sue and be sued, having the powers an~ jmrisdi~ticn hereinafter enumerated, and
<br />ether and additional powers as shall be oonferre~ upon it by law.

<br /> The Bridge Authority shall consist of the members of the Board of SUPervisors ef Norfolk
<br />County an~ the members of the Gommoils cf the Cities of Norfolk and PortsmoUth, and the sue-
<br />eessors in office of such persons. The members composing each~ of t~e s~Id three bodies~ eon?
<br />stituting, the Bridge Authority shall have the power te ~esign~te~o~beh~lf ofthe'ir~respe~tive
<br />commm~ities two persons, who meed net be members of the BridgeAmthority, an~ the six persons
<br />so designated shall eem~itute a committee cf such Bridge Authority, which committee shall be
