The minimum square footage of the lots will be 7,500 as <br />the~property Ks currently zoned RM-75. Portsmouth Partners of <br />Virginia has indicated that the project, including all public <br />an? ~rivate improvements, will be desig-ned to closely match the <br />"Vision 2005 River E~ge Homes Design Studies and Guidelines" <br />prepared by UDA Architects. <br /> <br /> ! The City's commitment to the infrastructure has been <br />established at a maximum of $1,750,000. The City will receive a <br /> lopment fee of $2,750 per lot for a total of $412,500. The <br /> will provide for the balance in funding by means of a <br /> le line of credit through the Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br /> Authority (PRHA). This development is estimated to <br /> the assessment of the current property by approximately <br /> million. <br /> <br /> I recommend your adoption of the motion authorizing me to <br />cute the agreement with Portsmouth Partners of Virginia." <br /> <br />Naquin, 3741 Elliott Avenue, provided information on the <br /> development. <br /> <br />Shaffer, 730 Cambridge Avenue, spoke in support of the <br /> development. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br /> the Acting City Manager to enter into an agreement <br />Portsmouth Partners of Virginia to redevelop the area <br /> known as River Edge Apartments, and was adopted by the <br /> vote: <br /> <br />Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts Robinett, Webb <br />None <br /> <br /> Letter from the Acting City Manager recommending <br /> of a motion to transfer $177,095 from the Grants <br />[ngency Account for continuation of the Comprehensive <br /> Act for At-Risk Youth and Families· <br /> <br /> "The Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) which <br /> ~ees the implementation of the Comprehensive Services Act <br /> een awarded $177,095 for the third year from the State <br /> Fund. These funds are to be used to continue to provide <br /> prograras for early intervention services to develop <br /> %t education and homemaking programs. In addition, the <br /> will be used to initiate innovative programs for young <br />chi :en at risk of developing emotional or behavioral problems <br />and community services for troubled youths.
