Ronnie Northam, Sr., 100 Noble Street <br />Dr. Melvin Marriner, 5910 West Norfolk Road <br />Shirley Hines, 1016 Blair Street <br />John Hill, 2906 Mapleton Avenue <br />Dutch Andrews, 131 Jamestown Avenue <br />J. Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jone Drive <br />Frank Thompson, 303 Marlboro Road <br /> <br />The following spoke in opposition to the proposed bond: <br /> <br />Louis Thomas, 131 Florida Avenue <br /> <br />- Unfinished Business <br /> <br />95-363 Rezonings: <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to <br />adopt the following ordinance, approved at the August 7, 1995 <br />Public Hearing meeting, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />95-363 (a): <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-95-19". <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />adopt the following ordinance, approved at the August 7, 1995 <br />Public Hearing Meeting, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />95-363(b): <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-95h18. <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT - <br /> <br />95-396 Letter from the Acting City Manager recommending <br />adoption of a resolution authorizing $24.75 million in General <br />Obligation Bonds, and a like amount to be issued in Bond <br />Anticipation Notes. <br /> <br /> "The attached resolution authorizes $24.75 million in <br />general obligation bonds. This funding source, coupled with <br />bond resolutions previously approved by the City Council, puts <br />into place the necessary financing for the construction of the <br />new I. C. Norcom High School. <br /> <br /> Upon approval of this resolution, the $24.75 million will <br />be added to the existing authorizations for the new I. C. <br />Norcom High School for a total construction cost of <br />approximately $38.7 million~ <br /> <br /> <br />
