Griffin, <br />Cameron C. Pitts, P. <br />Acting City Manager, <br /> <br />Webb~ Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, <br />Sr., Jsanes C. Hawks, James T. Martin, <br />Ward Robinett, Jr., Ronald W. Massie, <br />G. Timothy Oksman, City Attorney. <br /> <br />95-430 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 1995, for <br />the purpose of a joint meeting with Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority and a Public Work SessiOn. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />95-431 Public Work Session: Joint meeting with PRHA <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br /> <br />Junius Williams, Jr., Ernest Hardee, Lee King, Fred Fletcher, <br />Diane Griffin, Dorita Epps <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, <br />into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section <br />2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br />to go <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion of the acquisition or use of real property <br />for a public purpose or the disposition of publicly held <br />property, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion of personnel matters, as permitted by <br />Subsection (A)(1). <br /> <br /> (3) Discussion of litigation, as permitted by Subsection <br />(A) (7). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the Council member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> On motion meeting adjourned. <br />APPROVED -~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />~Sh~ila Powe11 Pittman, CMC/AAE <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
