When the present Sinking Fund came into existence on August lb, 1922, this note was turned over to them.as a par~ of tke assets of the previous. Sinking Fund; No interest'has been paid on this note since it has come into our possession, and we are ~illing, if the 01ty desires the same, ~o return this. note to the Oity for cancellation. While thlm ~lll~reduoe the assets of the Sinking Fund 0ommission, it will also reduce the debt of the 0ity by a like amount. If it is not the desire of the 0ounoil to have this note o~ucelled, the Sinking Fund Oommission would like the Oouncil to pay interest on the same at the rate of 4%per annum beginning November l, 1929.
