Portsmouth, such connections to be m~de under the supervision of the City~anager or his representative~ and in accordance with the regulations of the ~ate~ Department, the cost of such connections to be paid by the Power Company. The Power Company covenants and agrees that it will use all due care in making such connections and use modern and up to date methods ~nd equipment for said purpose. The Power 0ompany further egrees that it will indemnify 8nd save harmless the City from amy damage to its said water system, and from any and all dther d~m~ge ~ud all claims, de- mends end suits on account of the existence of such electrical connections, provided that _the Power Company is given notice of any such claims and sufforded ~u opportunity to defend' This agreement may be cancelled by thirty d~ys notice in writing by either party ~o the other. Portsmouth Post No. 37 of %he American Legion, Department of Virginia, at its last semi- monthly meeting adopted a resolution concerning the Veteran's Hospital to be situated in ~he State of Virginia.
