NE~.BUBINESS A petition was read from certain residents and property owners on North street, between Hatton street and Elm Avenue, that a hard surface pavement be laid on said street. On motion of Nv. 0kg, the communication was referred to the City Manager. A communication was read from the Executive Secretary of the Leagae of Virginia gunlcip~ lities.asking that delegates ~e sent to the annual meeting of the League of-Virginia Mu~ioip~ li%ies~to be held at Roa~uoke on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22nd and 23rd. .On motion of Nv. gaupln, the President of the Council was authorized to appoint the City ~anager and City. Clerk & Auditor and any members of the City Council who may be able to attend,.as delegates to the said meeting. A~biII was received from j. Shirley Hope, State Game ~arden, to amount of $100.00, for services rendered in destroying ~0 tagless dogs $ $2.50 each~ .On motion, .the Treasurer was ~:horized to pay said bill$~ out of funds on hand from collection of Dog Taxes. Aipetitton was read from r. Jos. Magri, Paster st.
