October 24, 1995 <br /> NEW BUSINESS - <br /> <br />95-480 - Mr. Clemons offered the following nominations for <br />appointments to the following Commission= <br /> <br />Planninq Commission <br /> <br />Raymond Turner to be reappointed to fill a four year term ending <br />January 1, 2000. <br /> <br />James A. Overton to be reappointed to fill a four year term <br />ending January 1, 2000. <br /> <br />Jimmy Spruill, Br. to be reappointed to fill a four year term <br />ending January 1, 2000. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to <br />close the nominations, and there being no further nominations, <br />the above nominations were adopted by unanmmous vote. <br /> <br />94-481 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, that as <br />authorized by Section 2.1-344.1(b) of the Code of Virginia, <br />Portsmouth City Council will within fifteen days hold one or <br />more executive or closed meetings at an undisclosed location or <br />locations solely for the purpose of interviewing candidates for <br />the position of City Manager, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Powell Pittman, <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br />CMC/AAE <br /> <br />95-482 - Continued Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />There were no other speakers. <br /> <br />On motion meeting was adjourned at 12:31 a.m. <br />APPROVED <br /> <br /> Gloria O.
