Bl~lock has been promoted to the position of P~trolman <br />on the Police Force to fill vacamcy c~used by the resignation of W. B. Murdem, the appointment <br />to take effect at such time as he may qualify. <br /> On motion, the notice was o=dered to be filed. <br /> <br /> ~th. Notice of thedismissal of Police Officer S. C. Williams, effective jauuary 2~th, <br />for ~h.e good of the depa~me~t, and the appointment of Substitute Officer J. M. Oity 0ounci~, <br />Portsmouth, Virgi~iia. <br /> <br />Gentlemen:- <br /> <br /> In reference to the 'following tax matters which were referred to me, I beg to <br />report the following: <br /> <br /> (I) Request of the Cit~ Collector that A. T. O~ulpepper be refunded $2.98 whlc~ was paid <br />in error for personsl~roper~y, $i.~5 for 1929, end $1.5~ for 1928. I find that thms was a <br />doub3 that Mr. Oulpepper had previously paid one of the assessments. There- <br />fore, shoUld be refunde~ to him. <br /> <br />years <br /> <br />Petition of the Trastees of the First Baptist Church of Tx~un to be relieved of <br /> no=t~hwest corner of Nenley Street and Deep Greek Boulevard for the <br /> ~, and 1930.
