<br /> This day came the'Metropolitan L~fe Insurance Oompany, a oorporation~ by-counsel,
<br />and alleges that it is aggrieved by an assessm6nt upon its land in the City of Portsmouth,
<br />as shown uoon the l~31 Land. Book as fgllows:~Page 2Y3, line 7: as the southeast corner of
<br />High and Dknwiddie Streets (180 x 226) as Lo~, $73,250.00, buildings, $10~,800.00, total
<br />amount $15~.030.00 as made o~ the Bo~rd of ~qual~za~zon of the City of Portsmouth, and. it
<br />aooeari~g ~ the Court that due notice of said application was given to R. C. Barclay, City
<br />Attorney, mud John C. Niemeyer, Commisszoner of Revenue of the City of portsmouth, and that
<br />the said application was defended.by the said R. C. Barclay, Oity Attorney, ar~ that the
<br />said John C. Niemeyer, Commissioner of Revenue of the City of Portsmouth, was examined as a
<br />witness and that the assessment of the buildings on the said land is more than the fair mar-
<br />ket value thereof, all of which the court hereby tort ifPs as facts, it is ordered~that the
<br />
<br />reduced from the s~n of $10~,800.00 to $9~,375.00, that being the ~a~ market value ohereo~.
<br />And, it is further ordered that the Metropolitan Life Insurance 0ompany be exonerated from

<br />sm~s be paid, that it be refunded. It is further ordered that a copy o~ this notice be
