Your pe~titioner respectfully shows unto the Council that it is a non-stock cor- poratio~n organized without the idea of profit but solely for the purpose of promoting good- will among its members and for the pUroose of oroviding its members a home. That no part of the building is occupied or. used by any person except for legion pu~pos~es and ~hat no part of the building is leased or rented to anyone for any pumpose. That the ~axes of the City of Portsmouth for ~he year 1932 against ~he aforesaid property amount to One Hundred Thi~rty-Two Dollars and FLtty Cents ($132.50), that of the said amount of $132.50, Seventy-Five Dollars and Seventy-One Cents ($75.~!) represents the propor- tionate part of the year that the property was used by the Nash estate and Fifty-Six Dollars and Se%~e~ty-Eine cents $56.?9) represents the proportionate part of the year that the proper- ~y wa usem by the American Leg~on Moms, Ij~eorporatem, the same being based upon pro-rati~g the t~xes by the Nash estate and the American Leg~on Home, Incorporated, as of July 26th,1932.
