<br />Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, effective November 16~, 1932, at a salary
<br />per month.'

<br />On motion same was ordered filed.

<br /> 2nd - 'In view of the age and physical condition of Hoseman'J.P. Richardson. of

<br />the Fire Department, I recommend his retirement f~om active ~ ~ ~ ~ ....
<br />name on the Pension roll effective January let, 1933, at an arouse! pensio~ of $ 57.75, which
<br />amount is one-half of his present pay. Nrc Richardson is §ixty-six years of age, and has
<br />been continuously employed for thirty-three years. My information is that he has rendered
<br />efficient and faithfful servic~ during his employment.
<br /> Mr. Richardson has been before the Examining Board orovided in the ordi-
<br />nance for retirement of policemen and firemen, which Board has r~oo~m~nded his retirement.
<br />He has also been examined by City Physician, Dr.~J.C. Phillips, who advises that he has de-
<br />fective vision and abnormal blood pressure.'

<br />amount is thirty-five Der cent of his present pay.
<br /> Er. Shannon is fifty-nine years of age and has been continuously employed
<br />for four,eon years. My information is that he has rendered efficient and faitkful service
<br />duriug his emplo~nment.
<br /> Mr. Shad. non has been before the Exs~mi~uing B6ard provided iu the ordinance
<br />for retirement of oolioemen and firemen, which Board has recommended his retirement. He has
<br />also been examined by Oity Phy~sician, Dr. J.G. phillips, who advises that he has some loss

<br /> In accordance with the request of the 0o~uoil on October 25th, I went into
<br />this matter with Messrs. Niemeyer and BarClay on November 12th, also with Mr. Moore, and af-
<br />ter going over the matter, Messrs. Niemeyer, Barclay and myself agreed that the request of
<br />the Imperial Tobacco 0ompany for relief of this assessment should be granted and it is my
<br />recommendation that we relieve the ~nperial Tobacco Oompany cf th~ tax of $124.55 assessed
<br />against them in 1930 for the renewal of additiohal floors in their wmrehouses.'

<br /> 5th- 'As information, I wish to advise that at a recent meeting of the Sinking
<br />Fund 0ommission. I reoonmmended that the Sinking Fund Commission ourchase $137,000.00 worth
<br />o£ the Oity's 5~ bonds, which the Sinking Fund 0ommission agreed-to do. This transaction has
<br />been completed and the proceeds from the sale of these bonds paid to the banks on revenue
<br />loans to the City. This zransaotion resulted ia-. a saving in interest of $1,370 000.00 oer
<br />year to the Sinki:~ Fund and a saving of approximately $1,200.00 per yea~ to t~e City Yn in-
<br />ts_est. Th~s disooses o~ ~_l cz ~ne 5~ bonds on ~,~nd in the oreasuzy.
<br /> I have negotiated a new agreement, effective October let, 1932, .with Oity
<br />Sergeant R.E, Clover, for the feeding of orisoners at the City jail, which will result in a
<br />saving of aporoximately SgO0.00 per year ~o the 0ity.'
