1st - "AS recently explained te you, there were a large number of tax assess-
ments made in the 1925 assessment against unknown owmers. Since these assessments were made,
some of the taxes have been assigned to individuals and collected and some few have been
charged off account being a double assessment.

B .... Recently Mr, Brinson, ~ity Euditor, Mr. Parke~ City Collector, and Mr.
arc£ay, ~imy Attorney, at_ my request, reviewed the remaining tax t~o~ets in the Collector, s
office assessed.against umknown owners and advise that the following'amounts are unassign~ble
aha not collectible. Therefore, I recommend that the amounts shown~elow be charged off in
December, 1933 aocoun~s b~. charging this amount against the Reserve for Uncollected Taxes of
$17,500.00, set up during 1933:

19 6 $ 903.75

In addition ~o the above, I recommend ~hat we ct~arge off to Reserve for
Uncollected Taxes in Deoemb.er, 1933 accounts, the uncollected personal property taxes for the
year 1927, amounting to $?~85.12 which are now charged against the Collector's office, as Mr.
Barclay~a~d~ises that we can net enforce collection of these taxes by reason of the Statute of
Limitations. We charged off last year all ~ncollected Personal Property Taxes for the
1926 and prior thereto..
