The following communications from the 0!ty Manager were read:

1st - "AS recently explained tc you, there were a large number of tsx assess-
merits made in the 1925 assessment against unknowm owners. SinCe these assessments were made,
some of the taxes have b~en assigned to individuals and collected and some few have been
charged off account being a double assessment.
Reeently Nr. Brinson, Oity ~uditor, Mr. Parke~, Gity Goltector, and Mr.
Barclay, airy Attorney, at my request, reviewed the remaining tax tickets in the Oollecter, s
office assessed against umknown owners and advise that the following amounts are umassignable
and not collectible. Therefore, I recommend that the amounts shown below be charged off in
December, 1933 accounts b~ charging this amount against the Reserve ~or Uncollected Taxes of

$17,500.00, set up during 1933:
192 $ 903.75
1928 ~9.0~
1929
193o

In addition to the above: I recommend that we charge off to Reserve for
Unc011ec~ed Taxes in December, 1933 accounts, the uncollected personal prope~r~y taxes for the
year 1927, smounting to $?~85.12 which are now charged against the Ool~ector s office, as Mr.
Barclay~advises.that we c~n not enforce collection of these taLxes by reason of the Statute of
Limitations. We chargedloff last year all uncollected Personal Property Taxes for the year
1926 and prier thereto.,
