Real estate owmed here is <br />taxed Just as highly as other owned pro~rty in Portsmouth and we, the undersigned, demand a~d <br />appreciate prompt action. <br /> <br />Mrs. J.W. VaUghan, 818 N. Elm Ave., and 33 others." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Hutchins, same was referred to the City Manager. <br /> <br /> Nm. Brooks Called attention to the fact that the City was without a Federal Pre- <br />ject Supervisor and moved that the Council recommend Mr. Frank H. Gay for the position. <br /> <br /> Motion o~ Mr. Fox to refer the matte~ to the City Manager, was lost, and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Fox, Mayo~ Oast - 3. <br />Nays: Brooks, H~tchins, Moore, Parrish - ~. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mayo nominated Mr. J.L.
