Also
attached is a letter from the Port Norfolk Civic League
supporting this action.

The City Traffic Engineer recommends that the closing of
the alley to through traffic will best serve the citizens of
this Port Norfolk community. This is good news, but we should continue to
strive to enhance the fund balance in future years so that we
obtain the 10% or $11 million reserve recommended by the
Municipal Finance Commission.

I, therefore, recommend that you adopt a motion accepting
the 1995 Financial Report, and forward the same to the
Municipal Finance Commission for their review."

Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to accept
the 1995 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and was adopted
by the following vote:

Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Webb
Nays: None

NEW BUSINESS

96-35 Boards and Commissions

There were no appointments.

96-36 Items Submitted by Council Members

There were no items submitted by Council Members.

96-37 Continued Non-Agenda Speakers

There were no other speakers.

On motion meeting was adjourned at 8:12 p.m.

APPROVED -

Gloria O.
