War~en. <br /> Mr. Robert L. McMurran presented the painting to the Oity, which was accepted by <br />the President' of the Ooum¢il, on behalf of the <br /> <br /> ~ The following communications from. the Oity Manager were presented: <br /> <br /> 1st - QUarterly application t o Emergency Relief Administration, asking an allot- <br />ment of $213,031.00 for Work Relief in Portsmouth for April, May and June,. 1935. <br /> <br /> Motion ef Mr. Oast to approve the said report and that a committee, composed of <br />three membersof the 0ouneil and the City Manager, be appointed to work out the compensation fea- <br />ture, the committee to have power to aet~ was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Brooks, Fox, Hutchins, Moore, oast, Stewart. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> <br /> 0ommittee appointed - Messrs.
