Griffin, who <br />was employed by the City of Portsmouth as night watchman at the City Stables on Effingham St. <br />for lO years this july 1st. His work was satisfactory to his employers. He was forced to <br />stop work on account of sickness and is unable to work any %onger. He had a stroke and has <br />heart trouble ~md diabetes and would like to have some means of support. <br /> I will appreciate any consideration you are able to show us ~nd wish that some <br />of t~ne Councilmen would call on Mr~ Griffin. Please let us hear from you at your earlieet <br />convenience. <br /> Very trttly yours, <br /> <br /> Mrs. L.B.
