$15.8~ for the year 1934~
Nr. Smith was no: a~resident of the City of Portsmouth in 1934, having removed
to the City of Norfolk; and it is therefore my opinion that this was erroneously assessed.'
I mm inclosing a receipt from the City Collector showing a payment of this tax,
and respectfully request your oonsideraSion in a refund of same.

Yours very tru!y,

Robert W. Noffat.u
The following lc.tier was read and ~eferred to the City Nanager:

"There is a party living on the west side of Crawford Street, between London
and Glasgow Streets, who has a long~ wide,'unsightly tr~ck, that he keeps parked day and night
for days at a time, in front of his house. -
When a neighbor complained to him, he stated that as he rented the house, he
had the right to park in front of same aslong-as he saw fit.
There is a double railroad track on Crawford St., making a very narrow space
between track and curb at this point, and much switching of care, making it dangerous for
passing automobiles~ besides being a fire menace as the fire department wil& have difficulty
in passing to a fire,
I ~ave complained ~o the City Nanager, ~he Police Department, ~nd theowner of
~he truck, withou~ receiving any satisfad~ion.
I hope your Honorable Body will pass ~ ordinance to prevent this indefinite
parking of truc~s on the City streets.

Thanking you, I am,

Sincerely,

Heber C.
