Brooks. Leslie T.Fox, W.R. Hutchins, S.B. Eoore, J. Alden <br />J. R. Stewart, City Eanager. <br /> <br />Minutes of regular meeting held October 15th were read end approved. <br /> <br /> The Committee appointed to present resolutions of respect on the death of Dr. <br />Hugh F. Parrish, presented the following resolutions, which were, on motion of Mr. Cast, <br />adopted: <br /> <br /> "WHEREAS, an All-Wise Providence has removed from among us <br />our esteemed friend and co-worker, Dr. Hugh F. Parrish, who .has for <br />years occupied a prominent place in our community, maintaining under <br />all circumstances a reputation ttutarnished and above reproach, <br /> AND WHF~M~S, In the death of Dr. Hugh F. Parrish, Portsmouth <br />has sustained the loss of one of its m~st worthy citizens, ~ud one <br />who was recognized for his strength of character and sound Judgment~ <br /> NOW, THEREFORE~ Be it r~solved by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth~ that we sincerely regret and deplore the untimely demise <br />of our friend and co-worker, whose high place in the eomm-~ui~y will <br />be difficult to fill. He leaves us a clear record of unselfishness <br />and sn outstanding,example of splendid character and good citizenship. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that these resolutions be made a part <br />of the records of the Co~&ucil of the City of Portsmouth ~d that an <br />engrossed copy be sent ~he bereaved family. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Leslie To Fox, <br /> <br />W.
