<br /> "I most-humbly beg a refund of $15.00 pai~ by me inMr. Davis' office on the 19th
<br />of December for the use of the City Auditorium on the night ~f December 20th for a charitable
<br />entertainment. The admittance price was some article of food to be given to the poor of our
<br />City. As I am not a member of the United Charities and have no other financial backing, I put
<br />the ~15.O0'-up to pay for the hall and can not afford i~ at the present time.

<br /> The foil,wing letter was read, and on motion, referred to'the Oity Attorney:

<br /> "Im looking over o~r tax receipts, in the name of B. Schwetz, we find that we
<br />have paid to the City of Portsmouth, the sum of Two Hundred and Ninety Two Dollars and Eighty-
<br />Three Cents ($292.83).
<br /> The abov~ payment includes Eleven Dollars and Ninety-Two Cents ($1~.92) which
<br />was paid on parcel ,~120~ 06 Queen St. This includes assessment onbuitdings above mentioned,
<br />which were wrecked in the month of November, 193~.(See Permit #6623).
<br /> According to our figures, we are due from the Oity'of Portsmouth, a refun~ of
<br />Seven Dollars and N~nety Four Cents ($7.9~).
