<br />and Commonwealth'Attorney, was received and on motion of N~. Stewart, approved for payment.

<br /> Mr. Moore offered the following resoluZion:

<br /> URealizing the urgent necessity for finding some other source of revenue
<br /> _than real,estate taxation to increase the revenue of the Gity, and to
<br /> relieve the serious tax burden.now existent, I wish to offer the follow-
<br /> ing resoluZion:-
<br /> let That the OityM~uuager be-tnstructed to immediately
<br /> con~act a reputable engineer, to ascertain the expense of
<br /> a thorough and exhaustive study, looking to the establish-
<br /> ment of a municipal electric light and power plant.
<br /> 2nd - That the City Manager investigate whether~P.W.A.
<br /> funds will be available for such a project.
<br /> 3rd - That the cost of such a project financed through
<br /> the Government, or t_~ough private channels.
